• How to make efficient use of the interface. E.g. using multiple desktops to organize my working space

• Various types of print screening (cmd+shift+4 to print screen a section of the page)

Photoshop

Used to:

• Create the front page and content page of my preliminary and contents page

• Manipulate/edit images

What I’ve learnt:

• The efficient use of all the tools and filters/effects

• The linking between Photoshop and In Design

Wix

Used to:

• As a portfolio for all my coursework

• Present my work in a digital and creative format using various forms of media.

What I’ve learnt:

• The different forms of media that could be used to show my work

• The range of templates that can be used

QuickTime

Used to:

• Record the monitor screen (to show the construction of my DPS)

What I’ve learnt:

• That there are different was to present the construction of my work

• That you could even record the monitor

iMovie and Movie Maker

Used to:

• Edit videos

What I’ve learnt:

• How to edit videos smoothly, e.g. speeding, trimming and filters

YouTube

Used to:

• Upload my videos.

• Tutorials for when I got stuck (Photoshop tools, wix)

What I’ve learnt:

• That you could enhance or make quick edits on YouTube even after uploading the video

Prezi and PowerPoint

Used to:

• Present my work

• Turn things into a JPEG format.

What I’ve learnt:

• There are various useful themes that can be used

• Transitions

• How to embed into wix

In Design (ID)

Used to:

• Create both my DPS

• Using the place too to insert my images

• Linking Photoshop to ID

• How to use the drop caps tool

• Quicker interaction, for sending files from device to device
