R&B is an abbrivation of the words Rhythm and Blues. It was introduced during the 40's by a group of African-Americans. the music was a way of escampism for many peole during this time, the music related to slavary, sex, relationship, money and dreams. However over the years R&B has developed due to incorporations of other genres within the music such as soul, gospel, pop, funk, and hip hop.
